We are seeking skilled Welders with experience in GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding to join a leading defense manufacturing team. This role involves welding aluminum and carbon steel components, interpreting engineering drawings, and producing high-quality welds while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding on aluminum and carbon steel components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
  • Load and unload parts onto welding fixtures using hand and air tools.
  • Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot welding issues and make necessary adjustments.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as hoists, pallet jacks, and forklifts (training/certification provided as required).
  • Complete production, labor, and quality documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and assist with training when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4+ years of experience in GMAW (MIG) and/or GTAW (TIG) welding on aluminum and/or carbon steel.
  • Ability to pass welding qualification tests for steel and aluminum.
  • Strong understanding of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), weld gauges, and measuring tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints and apply shop math for measurements and calculations.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 32 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift or material handling experience is a plus.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical or vocational training in Welding from an accredited institution is preferred.
