We have a great opportunity for a Receiving Clerk who is eager to grow with our company. This role will work with the Shipping Supervisor and will be responsible for various operations within the Warehouse, including loading and unloading incoming shipments, repacking, labeling of all items for receipts for return, and have the ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment.
JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for the receipt of materials from vendors and the distribution of goods to appropriate locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for the loading and unloading of incoming shipments and keying in received items in the AS400 and Ultriva systems
Responsible for the counting, weighting, repacking and labeling of all items for receipt or return.
Responsible for the delivery to stock area or to quality for those items requiring inspection.
Maintain a neat and orderly work station
- Obey all safety rules and stop work if continuing is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition. Report all safety concerns immediately.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the lead or supervisor.
- Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment as needed to more materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ability to make sound decisions in determining proper sequence of operations and/or destination of incoming items based on the needs of the business.
- Act with utmost integrity, professionalism and positive attitude.
- Must be a team player.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a material handler or receiving experience
While performing duties you may be required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist and/or lift up to 50 pounds. May be required to work more than 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week based on production needs.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:- Exposed to manufacturing plant conditions and elements including but not limited to noise, dust, dirt, oil, and grease.
- PPE's will be required including safety glasses, ear plugs and/or safety shoes.
- May be required to work at different work stations as production needs require
