Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least 2 years of OR experience across various specialties and an active SC or compact RN license.

Job Details

• 13-week contract at a hospital-based Operating Room,

• Works across various OR specialties,

• Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts per day, with days varying based on departmental need,

• Shift hours are 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM,

• On-call requirement includes one weekday call per week and one call weekend per month,

Job Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license (no pending licenses accepted),

• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA-issued only),

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience in a US hospital across various specialties,

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program,

• BSN is highly desired,

• US Social Security Number required,

• Date of birth required for consideration,

• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing and/or circulating for operative procedures and managing department admissions to the operative suite,

• Prepares the OR for the patient and surgical procedure, assembling equipment and supplies and ensuring everything is functional and available,

• Adheres to aseptic technique standards and intraoperative patient care planning in coordination with the surgical team,

• Serves as a communication liaison between patients, families, and members of the operating team,

• CPI certification is mandated for this position,
