RN - Intake​/Admissions Nights

Psychiatric Intake RN - Full-time Nights

Standard working hours are 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. (full‑time).

Admit patients to the behavioral health unit, conduct mental health assessments, coordinate care with psychiatrists and other providers, and facilitate admissions and referrals.

• Address needs of telephonic callers seeking assistance
• Perform level‑of‑care mental‑health assessments
• Document in the electronic medical record
• Coordinate patient care with internal and external providers
• Maintain department records/statistics
• Complete pre‑certifications and utilization reviews as needed
• Participate in patient safety activities
• Receive and document physician orders related to admissions and intake
• Provide appropriate medical treatment within scope of RN practice
• Document and coordinate external transfers via MOT for patients experiencing a medical emergency
• Report to the CNO (indirectly)
• Other duties as assigned

Nurse degree from an accredited university; registered nurses encouraged to apply. Minimum one year of experience in a mental health setting performing assessments.
