Psychiatric Intake RN - Full-time Nights
Standard working hours are 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. (full‑time).
ResponsibilitiesAdmit patients to the behavioral health unit, conduct mental health assessments, coordinate care with psychiatrists and other providers, and facilitate admissions and referrals.
Job Duties- Address needs of telephonic callers seeking assistance
- Perform level‑of‑care mental‑health assessments
- Document in the electronic medical record
- Coordinate patient care with internal and external providers
- Maintain department records/statistics
- Complete pre‑certifications and utilization reviews as needed
- Participate in patient safety activities
- Receive and document physician orders related to admissions and intake
- Provide appropriate medical treatment within scope of RN practice
- Document and coordinate external transfers via MOT for patients experiencing a medical emergency
- Report to the CNO (indirectly)
- Other duties as assigned

Nurse degree from an accredited university; registered nurses encouraged to apply. Minimum one year of experience in a mental health setting performing assessments.
