Role Description The Site Safety Professional (CSP) is a full-time, on-site role based in Aiken, SC, responsible for supporting and monitoring safety programs at client locations. This role includes conducting daily site inspections, identifying hazards, and recommending corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment. The Site Safety Professional will develop and deliver safety training, assist in creating and updating safety policies and procedures, and ensure adherence to applicable regulatory standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities also include investigating incidents and near misses, preparing detailed reports, collaborating with site management and workers on safety initiatives, and providing ongoing guidance to promote a strong safety culture.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a CSP credential.
- Must pass the requirements for entry into SRS.
- Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) skills, including risk assessment and the ability to implement effective controls.
- Candidates should possess Safety Training skills, with experience designing and delivering clear, engaging training sessions for diverse audiences.
- Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills, including root cause analysis, incident documentation, and development of preventive measures.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential or progress toward CSP certification is strongly preferred.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations, along with practical experience implementing compliant work practices.
- Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on site.
- Ability to work on-site in Aiken, SC, including regular field presence and use of appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
