What is the Opportunity?Quality Control Inspector is responsible for examining products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications within the Aecon program. This position will report through the quality program.
This position requires access to nuclear facilities and information governed by U.S. federal regulations. As a result, applicants must be U.S. citizens to meet eligibility and security clearance requirements.
What You'll Do Here:- Perform inspection on pressure boundary and non-pressure boundary components, assemblies and structural fabrications in accordance with the applicable code of construction and/or customer specifications.
- Perform dimensional inspections.
- Perform concrete inspections.
- Review Material Test Reports.
- Perform receiving inspections.
- Perform weld visual inspections.
- Perform positive material identification.
- Perform pressure test inspections.
- Follow and maintain Inspection and Test Plans or Travelers.
- Verify American Concrete Institute (ACI) codes and specifications.
- Perform internal weld monitoring as required.
- Perform source inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections.
- Complete all associated documentation, including quality control reports, sign-off on drawings, creation of as-built drawings, and related documentation.
- Establish, implement, and maintain site quality programs.
- Coordinate with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, regulatory representatives, and field personnel to ensure work is completed correctly.
