Quality Inspector II Aiken SC Contract to Hire - 3/12 (Fri-Sun)

Hours:

5am - 5:30pm

Pay Rate: $26.30/Hr

Inspector II Typically requires high school diploma or the equivalent, and one year of related working experience. Must have experience with and/or knowledge of basic inspection tools including scales, calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc. Able to read, comprehend, and work to blueprints. Able to support Day Shift and Weekend Shift. Technical knowledge of calibration standards, measurement principles, and quality control procedures in compliance with NIST and ISO requirements Hands-on experience with calibration tools, electronic test equipment, and software,

Inspector II Our client is seeking a Quality Auditor (Gage lab Inspector) for its Weekend Shift. In this role as a QA, you will work with a coordinate measurement machine (CMM) to inspect machined and/or welded parts to blueprint requirements for shipment to customer base. You'll also provide auditing support to shop floor operations. Performing scheduled calibrations on measurement instruments to meet industry standards.

Documenting calibration activities, test results for compliance and traceability. Collaborating with engineers, and other technical personnel to resolve issues concerning gage requirements. Suggesting equipment upgrades and maintaining calibration tools and supplies

Position supports Second, Weekend Shift

• Inspector II Coordinate measurement machine (CMM) experience.
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge and experience.
• Weld inspection knowledge/experience.
• Faro Arm/Laser Tracker or Keyence experience.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for accurate data interpretation
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to identify and correct equipment deviations
• Physical dexterity for standing, crouching, or kneeling during inspections and repairs
