The ideal candidate MUST have previous experience in security and customer service fields.
Looking for passionate, skilled professionals to join our team. Must be reasonably physically fit and able to stand and walk for periods of time.
Security Officers deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers and check credentials of vehicles and individuals entering or leaving the premises.
Security Officer Positions:
- Rover: Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, theft or other criminal activity.
- Gatehouse: Greet residents and guests, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, and control access to the property.
- Front Desk: Acknowledge and greet guests with courteous service, perform access control, monitor CCTV, greet residents and guests, and distribute packages.
Responsibilities:
- Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests promptly and courteously.
- Manage guest/visitor access and eject trespassers or violators when necessary.
- Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals and vehicles.
- Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of arrivals.
- Assist in protecting people and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures.
- Monitor and detect suspicious behavior to help prevent vandalism, theft and other criminal activity.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms.
- Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks.
- Warn violators of infractions (e.g., loitering, smoking, prohibited items).
- Respond to distress calls, alarms and emergencies by contacting local first responders.
- Identify and report safety or security concerns in a timely manner.
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents).
- Enforce and monitor compliance with all rules and regulations.
- Other duties to be determined by management.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
- Minimum of one year of security experience.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug).
- Ability to stand, walk and perform activities for extended periods; occasional crawling, crouching, climbing stairs, kneeling, running, bending and stooping may be required.
