Hours:
Monday: 9 AM –6 PM
Tuesday: 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM
Wednesday:9 AM –6 PM
Thursday: 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM
Friday: 9 AM – 1 PM
We operate as an emergency shelter; our services are provided continuously, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As a result, the shelter does not close for holidays, and staffing is required to maintain uninterrupted services.
About this opportunityCase Worker
Key responsibilities- Interview applicants to determine eligibility for program enrollment based on established guidelines and requirements; conduct needs assessment, obtain pertinent information, and establish program goals for eligible clients; refer applicants to internal case management specialists and/or other agencies if not appropriate for the program.
- Develops client intake for clients; instructs clients in completing necessary paperwork including goals and/or budget forms; completes orientation check-off form and obtains release of information forms when appropriate.
- Attends community meetings with representatives of other agencies to educate them about the program; makes client referrals and maintains awareness of clients' progress.
Qualifications What we are looking for in you:
or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree or two years of college coursework from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or a related field, and two years’ experience working in a social or public service environment with case management experience.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work may require driving a vehicle where there may be discomforts associated with heavy traffic or weather changes. A limited amount of physical effort is required, associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.).
