Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver-Aiken

Overview

The Transportation Specialist transports Members/Riders to and from Elite’s Day Centers or to medical appointments in a safe and lawful manner on a daily basis. The Transportation Specialist performs a daily check for signs of wear or potential maintenance issues on company vehicles and reports these per company policy. The Transportation Specialist demonstrates a high level of customer service by greeting all Riders and Responsible Parties during pickup and drop-off.

The Transportation Specialist maintains a clean vehicle for riders and ensures adequate fuel levels in assigned vehicles at all times.

• Transport Members/Riders to and from Elite’s Day Centers or medical appointments in a safe and lawful manner.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections for wear and maintenance issues and report findings per policy.
• Provide high level customer service by greeting Riders and Responsible Parties at pickup and drop-off.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure adequate fuel levels in assigned vehicles.

• Previous professional experience with transportation of people, including those with compromised mobility requiring wheelchair transportation (preferred).
• Clean driving record (required).
• Can meet health requirements of a DOT Physical (required).
• High School or GED equivalent (required).
• Experience in working around older adults and those with specialized care needs (preferred).
