Vintage Stone Capital is a private investment firm focused on founder‑owned businesses across industrial services, waste management, logistics, industrial distribution, and manufacturing. The firm originates opportunities through direct, relationship‑driven outreach and long‑term market coverage.
Position SummaryThe Head of Business Development, Origination is responsible for leading business development efforts to identify, engage, and develop relationships with business owners and key market intermediaries. This role partners closely with the investment team to support pipeline development and execution.
Key Responsibilities- Execute outbound business development initiatives to generate proprietary deal flow
- Build and manage relationships with business owners, executives, and market intermediaries
- Coordinate introductory conversations, schedule meetings, and manage follow‑up cadence
- Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline stages, notes, and reporting
- Support the investment team with concise summaries, market insights, and prioritization of opportunities
- Represent the firm professionally in external communications, events, and industry settings
- Contribute to messaging, outreach strategy, and continuous process improvement
- 1+ years of experience in private equity business development, investment banking, corporate development, transaction services, or complex B2B sales
- Strong executive communication skills, written and verbal
- High level of organization, follow‑through, and CRM discipline
- Comfortable operating in a performance‑driven environment with clear goals and accountability
- Professional judgment and discretion when engaging senior stakeholders
Base Salary (contract year): CA $60,000
Target OTE (contract year): CA $100,000+ based on performance
Incentives are performance‑based and paid monthly under a defined internal framework.
Full‑time conversion (post contract period)Upon conversion to full‑time, you will be eligible for additional long‑term incentives, including profit share and equity participation under the firm’s applicable plans. For top performers, total compensation potential can increase materially and may reach up to CA $250,000, depending on individual performance, firm performance, and plan terms. This is not guaranteed compensation.
