The City of Airdrie seeks an experienced leader for its Deputy Director role in Emergency Management. This influential position involves leading the Municipal Emergency Management Program, ensuring effective responses during crises, and coordinating with various government agencies. Manage staff recruitment and oversee the training of personnel to ensure readiness for any emergency situation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with provincial emergency management regulations
• Provide leadership during large-scale emergencies
• Develop and maintain business continuity plans
• Train personnel in Incident Command System protocols
• Build partnerships with local and regional agencies
Requirements:
• Degree in Disaster Management or related field
• Over 10 years in a relevant emergency management setting
• Certification as an Emergency Manager required
• Strong leadership skills in crisis situations
• Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities
Drive the safety and preparedness of the City of Airdrie through strategic emergency management and community engagement.
