Become a key member of XTL Transport as a Trailer Mechanic in Airdrie. This Monday to Friday role focuses on the repair and maintenance of our extensive trailer fleet.
We are looking for an experienced trailer technician with a valid Red Seal or CVIP certification.
Your role will involve diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety measures in a busy shop workplace.
Collaborate with drivers to gather feedback and provide exceptional service while contributing to a secure workplace.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, diagnose, and repair trailer suspension and brakes
- Conduct routine maintenance on coupling and hitching systems
- Keep accurate logs of work performed and issues encountered
- Report any safety concerns to the shop supervisor
- Maintain tools and company-owned equipment
- Red Seal Technician or CVIP certification mandatory
- Valid Class1 or 3 driver’s license is advantageous
- Previous experience with reefer units preferred
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Robust commitment to safety and quality work
