The Sales and Rental Associate is all about helping customers – whether that’s selling products, taking orders, or resolving issues. It’s important to really listen, respond quickly, and show you care. We want every customer to have a good experience so we do our best to understand what they need and make sure they feel looked after.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide customer service and convert to sales by transferring product knowledge to customers. This includes explaining features and benefits, safe operating techniques, and promoting related accessories/products.
- Probe for needs and match customer needs with Stephenson’s rental products and solutions.
- Seek sales opportunities on a consistent basis.
- Ensure every customer is treated in a fair and consistent manner and resolve issues as they arise.
- Drive in‑store merchandising initiatives. This includes pricing, inventory control, product placement, etc.
- Follow all procedures related to the delivery and pick‑up of products for customers.
- Maintain all inventory control documents to preserve the integrity of the Rental Management computer system.
- Assist in fleet management to ensure adequate inventory levels to meet customer needs.
- With the Manager, monitor disputes, monthly billing, over‑due accounts, invoicing, etc.
- Participate in and ensure daily duties and responsibilities are complete.
- Work with the yard team to ensure rentals are correctly staged and that return equipment inventories are correct.
- Manage branch email inbox.
Alberta only:
- Competent on Diesel, Propane & Water billing and able to train new employees.
- Complete Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Write Ups.
- Competent on Dispatching/Logistics and can mentor/train new employees.
- Assist with pulling propane permits.
- Schedule and invoice Fencing.
- Manage and fulfill all incoming rental orders from the Sales team.
- Other duties as assigned.

Whatyou bring to the table
- 2 years of experience in customer service and/or direct customer sales.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- G Class (ON)/Class 5 (AB) Driver’s License with clean abstract.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Technical aptitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
