About the job Student Placement Assistant
City University Ajman is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Student Placement Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the Placement Office in coordinating internship programs, managing graduate data, analyzing surveys, and strengthening employer relations. This role plays a key part in enhancing student employability outcomes, improving placement processes, and supporting career development initiatives across the university.
Responsibilities:Internship Course Coordination:
- Assist in the coordination and administration of internship courses across all academic programs.
- Ensure internship placements meet academic requirements and adhere to established timelines.
- Liaise with academic departments to facilitate smooth integration of internships within the curriculum.
- Maintain accurate documentation of internship agreements, placements, and evaluation records.
Survey Supervision and Analysis:
- Oversee the distribution and collection of surveys, including Employer Satisfaction and Alumni Surveys.
- Analyze survey data and generate insightful reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Maintain organized records of survey responses and prepare periodic reports.
Graduate Master Sheet Management:
- Maintain and update the Graduate Master Sheet to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
- Track graduate employment outcomes and generate placement-related insights.
Report Generation:
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports related to internships, placements, employer engagement, and alumni feedback.
- Compile and present data to enhance placement strategies and student outcomes.
Employer Relations Support:
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with employers and industry partners.
- Support onboarding of new partners for internships and job placements.
- Facilitate communication between employers and students when required.
- Prepare and manage Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with external partners.
Networking Event Support:
- Support the planning and execution of career fairs, employer engagement events, and networking sessions.
- Coordinate event logistics, communication, and post-event follow-ups.
Automation and Process Development:
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency within the Placement Office.
- Assist in developing and maintaining digital systems such as internship tracking tools and survey platforms.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement system enhancements.
- Recommend improvements to streamline workflows and enhance service delivery.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other related duties as required to support Placement Office operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
- Experience in placements, career services, academic administration, or a related role is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and data management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
