The Sales amp Business Development Senior Manager leads the company s sales and business growth strategy driving revenue generation market expansion and client acquisition in the wastewater utilities and O amp M sector. The role ensures alignment of business development initiatives with the company s strategic objectives and long-term growth plans.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion;
  • Identify, evaluate and secure new business opportunities, partnerships and client accounts;
  • Maintain and strengthen strategic relationships with key clients, government agencies and industry stakeholders;
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions and commercial agreements with clients and partners;
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and emerging opportunities to inform strategic planning;
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, project and finance teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction;
  • Oversee proposal preparation, tender submissions and technical-commercial documentation;
  • Track, report and analyze sales performance, pipelines, forecasts and business growth metrics;
  • Guide, mentor and manage the sales and business development team to enhance their performance and capabilities;
  • Identify and recommend service expansion, diversification and strategic partnerships to strengthen market presence;
  • Represent the company in industry events, conferences and client meetings;
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards and contractual obligations;
  • Provide strategic insights to senior management to support business decision-making;
  • Develop and maintain strong customer feedback mechanisms to improve services and client engagement;
  • Drive initiatives to enhance brand visibility and market recognition in the O amp M and utilities sector.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent qualification in Business Management is highly desirable;
  • 8 12 years of experience in sales, business development, or client management, preferably within O&M, wastewater, utilities, or industrial services;
  • Experience in leading teams, managing large accounts, and winning major contracts is essential;
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to guide, mentor, and develop the sales team;
  • Excellent strategic planning, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities;
  • Deep understanding of business development, sales cycles, and revenue growth strategies;
  • Strong knowledge of the wastewater, utilities, and O&M sector, including market dynamics and client requirements;
  • Ability to manage multiple high-value clients, projects, and priorities simultaneously;
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, sales reporting, and business analytics;
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills;
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability to identify opportunities and mitigate risks;
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to operate under pressure;
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, drive initiatives, and achieve organizational growth objectives.
