- Install, replace, inspect and maintain electricity meters at residential, commercial and industrial sites.
- Conduct meter readings using handheld or automated systems.
- Test and troubleshoot faulty meters and associated electrical equipment.
- Perform electricity connection, disconnection and reconnection activities.
- Identify abnormal consumption, meter discrepancies and technical faults.
- Maintain accurate meter-reading and service records.
- Respond to customer queries related to meters, readings and technical issues.
- Follow electrical safety, HSE and regulatory requirements.
- Technical Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or related field.
- Experience in electrical metering, electricity distribution or electrical maintenance.
- Hands-on knowledge of meter installation, testing and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and safety procedures.
- Experience with smart meters/AMI and handheld meter-reading devices is an advantage.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
