HUD Audit Opportunities – Multiple Levels
We're partnering with a growing public accounting firm seeking audit professionals at the staff, senior, supervisor, manager, and director levels to join a specialized assurance team focused on HUD-related engagements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build technical expertise, gain client exposure, and grow within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Opportunities are available in the Cleveland and Akron areas, with remote flexibility available for more experienced professionals.
Responsibilities will vary based on experience level and may include:
- Assist with or lead HUD audit engagements from planning through completion
- Prepare and review work papers, financial statements, and audit documentation
- Evaluate internal controls, accounting processes, and compliance procedures
- Manage client communication and ensure engagement timelines are met
- Supervise and mentor junior staff at more senior levels
- Oversee multiple engagements, budgets, and project workflow
- Build client relationships and serve as a trusted point of contact
- Stay current on HUD regulations, GAAP, and assurance standards
- Support practice growth and identify opportunities to improve client service
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA, CPA-track, or CPA-eligible candidates encouraged to apply
- 1–10+ years of public accounting audit experience depending on level
- HUD audit experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and grow
