Payroll Specialist

Securitas Technology is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate, timely payroll for multi-state employees in a technology-driven, security-focused environment. You will process regular and off-cycle runs, validate time and attendance data, manage deductions and garnishments, and reconcile payroll reports. Partner with HR, Finance, and managers to resolve payroll issues, support audits, and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly/monthly payroll for multi-state employee populations with accuracy and timeliness.
• Validate and import time and attendance data; resolve discrepancies with managers and HR.
• Administer deductions, garnishments, benefits contributions, and special payments in compliance with regulations.
• Reconcile payroll reports to the general ledger and identify/resolve variances.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, tax, and wage/hour laws.
• Prepare payroll reports and analytics for HR, Finance, and leadership as needed.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate payroll documentation.
• Safeguard sensitive employee and payroll data, following security and privacy standards.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations to improve payroll processes and controls.
