Summit County Public Health is seeking a Human Resources Intern to work part time (up to 28 hours per week) , Monday through Friday, in our Support Services division through Spring and Summer 2026. This position provides clerical support to the program by assisting with the onboarding process for new SCPH employees and maintaining program files to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end pre-employment process for new SCPH employees, including but not limited to distributing new hire paperwork, checking paperwork for accuracy, and coordinating required pre-employment screening appointments.
- Assist with conducting the monthly new employee orientations to ensure a robust introduction to agency culture and policies.
- Support and lead staff team-building activities to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Perform routine clerical duties including data entry, word processing, filing, and copying.
- Maintain accurate records by entering, retrieving, organizing, and updating information in various systems.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be in pursuit of a bachelors or graduate degree in a related field or be a recent graduate seeking practical experience in the field.
- Valid Ohio driver's license, liability insurance, automobile available.
