Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Aspen Technical Staffing is seeking an Assistant Right of Way Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity in Akron, Ohio. This position will support utility infrastructure projects by assisting with land rights research, document review, stakeholder data management, and coordination with project teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze, prepare, review, and interpret land and Right of Way related agreements, deeds, easements, leases, permits, and licenses.
- Complete rights and restrictions reviews.
- Support permitting activities and documentation requirements.
- Research and review real property-related documents.
- Interpret and understand easement agreements and associated restrictions.
- Assist with translating data from Right of Way documents into stakeholder management databases.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of stakeholder database entries completed by Right of Way field agents.
- Compile technical data and documentation for presentation to project teams.
- Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, environmental consultants, GIS specialists, vegetation management teams, Right of Way managers, and real estate coordinators.
- Attend and participate in public meetings and open houses as requested.
- Provide support for client and project needs as directed.
- Manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
- Work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and task-tracking software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to quality service.
- Experience with electric utility facilities or railroad projects is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Google Earth and construction drawings is preferred but not required.
- IRWA designation is desirable but not required.
- Ability to manage and track multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license required and must meet company driving requirements.
- Knowledge of land rights, easements, permitting, and property research processes.
- Experience reviewing legal descriptions and property documentation.
- Strong database management and quality control skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, landowners, and stakeholders.
