Job Title
Office-based position (not field materials management)
Track major equipment delivery dates by reviewing Client Supply Chain documentation, reports, and developing regular communication channels with Vendors
Track delivery dates and communicate readiness to project manager, site team, and client stakeholders
Track minor material orders
Primary vendors: IRBY/Pepco (substation minor material packager) and Power Line Supply (transmission line material packager)
Review BOMs and compare to Purchase Orders to verify accuracy of item description and quantities
Verify status of quotes and orders
Produce reports to assist Project Managers in material readiness meetings
Reports will show purchase order status, lead times, vendor production schedules, vendor updates, delivery dates, and any issues with production or delivery dates
Help identify possible workarounds to maintain schedule to Client's Materials Management group and Project Teams
Be knowledgeable of Transmission Line, Substation, and Communications material and equipment
Occasionally visit vendor facilities to verify production readiness
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, business administration, engineering or related discipline and minimum 4 years' related work experience is required
Related work experience includes supply chain, material tracking, or procurement
Successful track record in a procurement organization
Excellent organization skills and proficiency in Microsoft excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possess a sense of urgency around accomplishing goals
Types of Substation equipment purchases:
- Typical Voltages are 34.5kV, 69kV, 138kV, 230kV, 345kV, 500kV
- Circuit breakers
- Package Control Enclosures
- Power Transformers (Above 30 MVA)
- Disconnect switches
- Voltage Regulators;
Switchgear - Control Devices, DFR Cabinets, SCADA/HMI/RTAC
- Batteries, Chargers, Battery Cabinets, Monitoring Systems
- Instrument transformers such as: CCVTs, Current Transformers, Breaker CTs, Slip Over CTs, Potential/Voltage Transformers, Station Service Voltage Transformers, Linear Couplers
- Capacitor Bank,;
Cap Switchers, Circuit Switchers - Minor material such as: DMC connectors, test switches, relays, control cable, substation hardware
Types of Transmission Line Material Purchases:
- Poles (primarily wood, steel monopoles, or "wood pole equivalent" direct-embed steel poles
- t-line hardware such as insulators, conductor and shieldwire clamps, line switches, motor operators, compression terminals, dampers,
- guy anchors, structure braces
- aluminum Conductor, OPGW, shield wire
