Performing Arts Roles/ Dance Instructor
Overview
Successful candidates will be experienced in teaching dance to diverse students at all levels, use progressive pedagogy in teaching technique, and apply sound anatomical and wellness principles in their teaching. Candidates must be able to teach all levels of dance, including contemporary, modern, and other dance styles. Applicants should also be able to choreograph or restage work for student performers in on-campus concerts.
Responsibilities- Deliver dance instruction to diverse students at all levels.
- Employ progressive pedagogy and sound anatomical and wellness principles in teaching.
- Teach contemporary and modern dance styles, alongside other dance forms.
- Choreograph or restage work for student performers in on-campus concerts.
- Two (2) positions available.
- Available to teach weekday afternoons between 4p.m. and 8p.m.
- FLSA Status:
Exempt (United States).
- High school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree in dance or dance education preferred.
- Experience teaching dance in a pre‑professional setting; professional performing experience preferred.
