Akron Soul Train invites regional artists to apply for a residency of about one month, adaptable to the artist’s project scope. The program provides a stipend of $1000 plus resources to develop new work for a public exhibition, performance, reading, or publication.
Applicants must be 18+, regional, and able to travel to Akron for community engagement. Residency includes press opportunities and a public celebration at Akron Soul Train on a date to be determined, with events in the evening.
