Member Service Representative Highlights
  • The pay for this position is$19.00 per hour
  • Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • On-site
    position (Akron, OH 44305)
  • This position is a
    temporary/contract
    assignment (potential to convert based on performance/attendance/business need)
Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to members via phone and electronic communication regarding
    enrollment, benefits, eligibility, billing, claims, and authorizations
  • Accurately document inquiries/complaints in the tracking system and route items for timely resolution
  • Meet department productivity and quality standards for phone and written communication
  • Maintain a professional, empathetic, customer-first approach on every interaction
  • Protect confidential member and business information and follow all policies/procedures
  • Use independent judgment and problem-solving to interpret procedures and resolve concerns
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
    (college experience preferred)
  • 2+ years
    of customer service experience (call center and/or administrative support preferred)
  • Medicare and/or health insurance background strongly preferred
  • Strong verbal/written communication; comfort working in Windows-based systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and document thoroughly/accurately
  • Must maintain confidentiality of member health information (HIPAA-minded work habits)
Work Environment / Physical Demands
  • Fast-paced call-center environment; prolonged sitting and computer/headset use
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs
Benefits Available
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after
    90 days
    of employment.
