This is a full-time, on-site Pediatric Dentist / Faculty / Educator role based in Akron, OH. The individual in this role will provide comprehensive pediatric dental care, including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of oral health conditions in infants, children, and adolescents, including those with special health care needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing dental examinations and procedures, collaborating with interdisciplinary medical teams, and ensuring compassionate, evidence-based care that aligns with hospital standards.

The role also involves teaching and mentoring residents, students, and other learners, developing and delivering educational content, and participating in curriculum design and quality improvement initiatives. The Pediatric Dentist / Faculty / Educator will contribute to program development, engage in scholarly or community outreach activities, and help maintain a safe, inclusive, and patient-centered clinical learning environment.

• Candidates should possess strong clinical skills in Dentistry and Pediatric Dentistry, with experience in managing a wide range of pediatric oral health conditions.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Oral Surgery and Dental Care procedures relevant to pediatric patients, including preventive, restorative, and minor surgical interventions.
• Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Medicine as it relates to pediatric oral health, including the ability to collaborate effectively with pediatric medical specialists.
• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited institution; completion of an accredited pediatric dentistry residency program.
• Current, unrestricted dental license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of Ohio; board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Dentistry preferred.
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in teaching, curriculum development, and mentoring learners in academic or clinical settings.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with a commitment to compassionate, family-centered, and culturally responsive care.
• Experience working with children with special health care needs or medically complex conditions is highly beneficial; involvement in research, quality improvement, or community outreach is a plus
