Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist – Bone Marrow Transplant
Akron Children’s Hospital (Akron, OH, USA) seeks a BC/BE pediatric hematologist/oncologist who will also serve as a clinical faculty member at the assistant/associate professor level. The physician will have a clinical focus and experience caring for children and adolescents undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
Clinical time allocation: 50% bone marrow transplant, 30% hematology and/or oncology (per candidate’s interest), 20% non‑clinical responsibilities.
Akron Children’s Hospital is a teaching hospital with an accredited Hematology/Oncology fellowship training program and a medical school affiliation with Northeast Ohio Medical University. The program annually cares for approximately 90 new oncology patients, 15 stem cell/marrow transplant patients, 160 sickle cell patients and 540 bleeding disorder patients.
The position is a 501(c)(3) site, qualifying for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the federal government.
