Medical Director-Hospice
The Medical Director will assume responsibility for the medical component of the hospice program, serve as a clinical resource to the interdisciplinary team, support appropriate hospice eligibility and certification decisions, and help ensure continuity and quality of physician services.
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
- Active, unrestricted Ohio physician license.
- Current state and federal controlled‑substance registrations.
- Hospice or palliative‑care experience, or substantive training in end‑of‑life care.
- Knowledge of Medicare hospice eligibility, certification, recertification, and Conditions of Participation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with attending physicians and interdisciplinary hospice teams.
- Commitment to continued medical education related to hospice and palliative medicine.
- Eligible to participate in Medicare and not excluded from any federal healthcare program.
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, documentation, and relationship‑development skills.
