Hospitalist Physician

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a Hospitalist to join their established team in Akron, Ohio. Practice Info

• Cohesive and long-standing team of 29 physicians and 4 APPs with the support of a clinical performance nurse.
• Group participates in several hospitalist committees and QI projects.
• Cleveland Clinic Akron General is a 532-bed regional medical center.
• The hospital has the prestigious "Magnet" status.
• The ICU is closed, and no procedures or codes are required.
• Team responds to codes on their patients.

Responsibilities

• Welcome the challenge of complex cases.
• Work with IM and FM residents from the Cleveland Clinic Akron General residency program.

Compensation

Shift & Schedule

• Primarily day coverage and will provide swing-shift coverage.
• 11 physicians and one APP working daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• 1 physician works a swing shift daily from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
• Two physicians and one APP working nightly from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.
• Hospitalists work approximately 4 weeks of swings annually.

Requirements

• Board-certified/board-eligible in internal medicine.
• H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available.
