We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Daycare Teacher to join our nurturing early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role requires strong classroom management skills, a passion for child development, and the ability to lead and mentor other staff members.
The Lead Daycare Teacher will play a vital role in fostering social, emotional, and cognitive growth in young learners while ensuring compliance with all safety and licensing standards.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Supervise and engage children during activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods.
- Monitor children's behavior and apply effective behavior management techniques.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Collaborate with parents to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
- Lead and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality care.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and health & safety protocols.
- Administer first aid when necessary and maintain accurate records of incidents or concerns.
- Incorporate special education strategies when working with children with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Support children's social-emotional development through positive guidance and nurturing interactions.
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings; classroom experience preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles across infant, toddler, and preschool stages.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents and team members.
- Passion for early childhood education and creating a supportive learning environment.
- Ability to handle caregiving responsibilities with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
