Position Summary

St. Mary School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Fourth Grade Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. The teacher will support and uphold the school's vision, mission, core beliefs, and goals while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

This position requires an understanding of the developmental uniqueness of intermediate learners, particularly within an inner‑city setting, and a genuine desire to support both their academic and personal growth.

St. Mary School strives to provide all students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for future success.

Essential Functions
  • Teach core subjects including Reading (Science of Reading), Writing, Mathematics, Social Studies, Religion, and Social‑Emotional Learning using curriculum designated by St. Mary School, the Diocese of Cleveland, and the State of Ohio.
  • Integrate Catholic Christian values into daily instruction and classroom culture.
  • Foster student growth in citizenship, responsibility, and respect for others.
  • Create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment that meets the diverse needs of learners.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to support student success.
