Position Overview

Hiring for the Midwest Region with final candidate located near one of the following campus locations:
Akron, OH;
Brookfield, WI;
Kenosha, WI;
Madison, WI;
Minneapolis, MN.

Role Overview

The Admissions Advisor is responsible for educating and attracting potential students to attend Herzing University through inbound and outbound phone interactions. They provide information on the advantages of attending Herzing University, interview prospective students to define program of interest, discuss scheduling and time commitment, and ensure all aspects of the enrollment process are completed thoroughly and accurately.

Hours

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with hours between 8 AM and 5 PM. Additional weekend or evening work (until 7 PM) may be required based on business need. Potential travel to conferences, college fairs, and recruitment/community events.

Requirements
  • Associate Admissions Advisor
    • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
    • A minimum of six months as an associate admissions advisor or related work experience, preferably in admissions, higher education, customer service, or sales.
  • Admissions Advisor
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
    • A minimum of six months as an associate admissions advisor or related work experience, preferably in admissions, higher education, customer service, or sales.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is determined based on qualifications and experience. Hourly pay ranges: $18.95 to $25.64 for associate level; $23.17 to $31.39 for advisor level. Benefits include a tuition waiver and reimbursement program, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Respond to inquiries about Herzing University’s courses and programs via telephone, email, text, and chat.
  • Interview prospective students to determine motivation for continuing education, understand career goals, and identify potential obstacles.
  • Help prospective students identify the best educational program that matches their needs and goals, and share information about the benefits of Herzing University.
  • Guide prospective students through the admissions process, respond to their questions and concerns at each step, ensure completion of admissions requirements, and connect students to support resources.
  • Generate inquiries through prospective students, current students, and local community outreach/events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
  • Must remain in a stationary position most of the time.
  • Must occasionally move around the work location.
  • Must communicate information and ideas so others understand.
  • Frequently operates office/tech equipment such as computers, copiers, fax machines, audio/visuals.
  • Frequently uses voice and hearing to communicate with students, staff or colleagues face‑to‑face or over the telephone.
  • Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess.
  • Occasionally move, carry, or lift 10 pounds.
  • Frequently positions self to maintain computer‑related equipment, which may involve bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
