- assist all students to meet or exceed 21st‑century knowledge and skills, including state academic achievement standards.
- articulate student learning goals and assist students in achieving them.
- guide learning toward curriculum goals and communicate clear objectives for lessons and units.
- plan and deliver learning experiences that advance individual student learning; provide written evidence of preparation upon request.
- design authentic learning experiences for core knowledge, 21st‑century skills and literacies through collaboration, problem‑based learning and inquiry.
- partner with businesses and community organizations to create authentic learning experiences.
- attend staff meetings, serve on staff committees as required, and maintain and improve professional competence.
- organize and plan learning based on subject matter, students, community and curriculum goals.
- assist in planning intervention and remediation in math, science and literacy for students who have not mastered content standards; implement appropriate strategies.
- develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies for each student’s academic growth.
- use technology to develop student content knowledge and skills; facilitate learning, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, innovation, creation and collaboration.
- proficiency in using technology as an instructional and management tool.
- use continuous, authentic and appropriate assessment and evaluation measures that are evidence‑based, and use them to improve instruction and student learning with feedback (including progress reports).
- be flexible, resourceful, innovative and effectively manage the design and execution of learning experiences, both formal and informal, creating an environment conducive to learning, fostering engagement, self‑motivation, student self‑direction and positive social interaction.
- develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, maintain order fairly and justly.
- provide learning opportunities that support intellectual, social, emotional and physical development.
- work closely with students and parents to guide them through school and future educational and career choices.
- model teaching expectations for students to accomplish.
- contribute to and participate in ongoing professional development, including working within a professional learning community (plc) model.
- use evidence‑based and best practices to inform instruction and collaborate with colleagues.

- collaborate with the building principal to lead the school through shared decision making.
- use electronic tools for grading in new tech applications and district applications.
