Job Purpose
The 3rd Grade teacher is responsible for instructing and nurturing students. They play a crucial role in shaping students' educational and social development by providing a well‑rounded curriculum and fostering a supportive classroom atmosphere.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and implement age‑appropriate lesson plans and teaching strategies for various subjects, ensuring alignment with state and district educational standards.
- Establish and maintain a well‑organized, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that promotes active student participation, cooperation, and discipline.
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction across multiple subjects, adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Regularly assess and evaluate student progress through quizzes, tests, assignments, and other assessment methods, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
- Identify and address the unique needs and challenges of individual students, including those with special educational requirements or learning disabilities.
- Maintain open and proactive communication with parents and guardians to update them on students' progress, behavior, and concerns.
- Continuously engage in professional development to stay current on the latest teaching techniques, educational trends, and curriculum developments.
- Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to coordinate curriculum, share best practices, and address school‑wide issues.
- Manage and utilize educational materials, technology, and resources effectively to enhance the learning experience.
- Promote positive social and behavioral development in students, emphasizing values such as respect, responsibility, and empathy.
- Ensure the safety and well‑being of students at all times, including during emergency situations.
- Uphold high ethical standards in all interactions with students, parents, colleagues, and the school community.
Education and Experience

- Strong knowledge of educational principles, child development, and classroom management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- Teaching credential or certification is required.
- State‑specific teaching certification or licensure, as per local regulations.
- Classroom experience, including student teaching or internships.
This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment. The employee may be required to deal with students with behavioral risks.
