CDL Instructional Assistant

Stark State College is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time instructor to join our Commercial Driver's License Training Department. The successful candidate will contribute to the college's commitment to academic excellence, student success, and community engagement.

• Classroom instruction, range exercises, and over-the-road instruction for CDL training classes at Stark State College.
• Classes are offered for both Class A and Class B CDL training.
• Hours vary and are based upon enrollment and the College's needs.
• The ability to teach students with a wide range of backgrounds and learning styles.
• The use of learning management systems and/or learning new software as needed.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Requires effective communication and presentation skills.
• Requires experience using MS Office products.
• Must be able to meet College insurability requirements.

• Must hold an Ohio Class ACDLLicense and
• Must have 3 years of full-time equivalent driving experience.

• Must hold an Ohio Class B CDL License and
• Must have 3 years of full-time equivalent driving experience.

Compensation will increase upon successful completion of the ODPS Instructor’s License.
