Behavior Specialist (Social Worker/Counselor)

AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Behavior Specialist for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year.

Openings in Elementary, Middle, and High School. Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location. Contract through the 2026/2027 school year – 8 hours per week. Contract follows the academic district calendar.

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field (master’s preferred)
• Valid license as a LPC or LSW
• Valid Ohio licensure
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral needs
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Physical ability: frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds, occasional lifting of equipment or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds

• Conduct behavioral assessments
• Develop and implement individualized behavior plans
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
• Train and support staff and families
• Maintain documentation and reports

$408 – $432 per week
