Summary

Serves as an enthusiastic, innovative, and collaborative information technology educator who is adept in both instructional design and training delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Support the IT&S training program and its goals, including creating synchronous and asynchronous content, maintaining curriculum and materials, and coordinating schedules.
  • Facilitate instructor‑led training (ILT) and respond to service requests and incident responses.
  • Work with application analyst teams to equip end users for successful deployment, adoption, maintenance, and optimization of Epic (or other software).
  • Familiarise with both end‑user workflows and backend builds, serving as a liaison and change agent to operational customers.
  • Identify training needs by visiting operational departments, engaging in division and analyst meetings, and embedding within project teams.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Formal

    Education Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree in education, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Experience & Training

    Required:
    • At least 2 years of experience in education and training on computer‑related software applications.
    • Experience working with personal computers, educational training databases, and direct experience with education.
    • Achievement of Epic Certification within the first 6 months of employment.
    • Existing credential in an Epic application preferred.
    • Instructional design experience.
  • Other Skills, Competencies and

    Qualifications:
    • Interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with users on various software and non‑technical problems.
    • Written communication skills to compose materials for end users.
    • Knowledge of work processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, e‑mail, and scheduling applications; ability to acquire additional skills as necessary.
    • Knowledge of clinical or administrative applications and current Summa practices to maintain high‑level educational assistance.
    • Broad knowledge and understanding of current workflow and design decisions made with application enhancements.
    • Maintains confidentiality of patient, employee, and financial records.
    • Ability to present course materials in classroom and one‑on‑one environments using adult learning techniques to convey information appropriately to users at all skill levels.
    • Team collaboration skills, providing honest and constructive feedback, supporting team goals, and collaborating with departmental members to solve problems and reduce costs.

      Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self‑respect and dignity.

Salary

$34.00/hr - $50.99/hr
