We are seeking a passionate and dedicated K-8 Art Teacher to join our vibrant educational community in Akron, Ohio. • Develop and implement age-appropriate art curricula that align with state standards and school goals
• Foster students' creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking through various artistic mediums and techniques
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events, exhibitions, and extracurricular activities related to art
• Manage classroom materials and resources efficiently, ensuring a well-organized learning space
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievements

• Valid Ohio teaching license with proper licensure for K-8 art education
• Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field
• Proven experience teaching art to elementary and middle school students
• Strong knowledge of art techniques, materials, and curriculum development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
• Creative, patient, and adaptable teaching style
