Part-time Instructor
Stark State College is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time instructor to join our Industrial Technology Department. The successful candidate will contribute to the college's commitment to academic excellence, student success, and community engagement. - Teaching courses in the Industrial Technology area.
- Courses are assigned based upon the candidate's technical expertise in industrial applications.
- The candidate must be available to work during the day and evening.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures and hands-on lab sessions in subjects such as manufacturing technology, automation, and electrical systems.
- Develop instructional materials and assessments that align with program outcomes.
- Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback to support learning and skill development.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and supervise the use of lab and classroom equipment.
- Stay current with advancements in technology and industry trends to ensure course relevance.
- Participate in curriculum development and program improvement initiatives.
- Support student success through advising, mentoring, and career guidance.
To be considered you will need:
- Strong applied industrial technology skills.
- Must be an organized, self-motivated individual who works well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a positive and professional attitude.
- Must be available to work both day and evening shifts.
Required qualifications include:
- Associate degree and/or journeyman trade status and/or specialized certifications in the required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of related industry experience.
