We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to support delegated design work involving structural steel connections, stair systems, platform systems, cladding supports, railings, and miscellaneous/ornamental metals across a variety of industries and building types.

What You ll Do
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations for structural steel connections and miscellaneous metal systems.
  • Review building design packages to extract necessary information for delegated design.
  • Prepare formal engineering reports and communicate design specifications to clients.
  • Review and correct fabrication drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Evaluate designs for cost, safety, constructability, and performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with fabrication, detailing, and field teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Support internal engineering tools and continuous improvement processes.
  • Assist in resolving fabrication and field issues as they arise post-design.
What We re Looking For
  • Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing licensure.
  • 3–5 years of experience in structural design, delegated design, or building design.
  • Experience with structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and ornamental metals.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SDS2, Tekla, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
