Role SummaryEnsure the quality and safety of engineering deliverables by overseeing design reviews and refining standards. You’ll mentor others in QA/QC practices, manage risk, and help maintain technical excellence. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who are committed to upholding high standards, refining processes, and ensuring consistent quality across engineering deliverables and team outputs.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 6+ years of transmission engineering experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Mastery in working with PLS CADD.
- Expert in the analysis of transmission structures.
- Authoritative ability to comprehend and interpret safety codes, utility standards and regulations.
- Strategic and detail-oriented, with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize complex systems and workflows.
- Trusted and respected, with deep expertise in fostering collaboration across disciplines and driving innovation within project teams.
- Forward-thinking communicator with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Oversee design reviews and validation procedures.
- Review and ensure accuracy and safety of the design of high voltage transmission lines using PLS-CADD.
- Establish and refine quality standards aligned with industry best practices.
- Spearhead the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
- Mentor engineers with varying levels of experience in applying QA/QC principles and maintaining technical excellence.
- Champion QA/QC processes to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality engineering outputs.
- Interface with project managers to align quality goals with schedule and budget.
