The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, headquartered in Akron, Ohio, is looking for talented leaders to add to its global leadership depth and play a role in the current and future success of the organization. The co‑op/intern Program provides students with practical work experience in one of many diverse areas.
In addition to challenging, engaging and interesting work assignments, students have the opportunity to meet and interact with students from other universities at work and outside of work. Tours of Goodyear facilities are arranged to help students learn more about the business. Goodyear leaders interact with students to help them begin to think about significant business issues and career options. Students even have the opportunity to speak with the Goodyear Senior Leadership Team.
FunctionOverview and Project Task/Responsibilities
The Tire Intelligence – Systems Integration team at Goodyear is responsible for developing and product ionizing sensor fusion and machine learning algorithms that address the company's current and future business needs and aspirations in Autonomous driving, Connected cars, Electrification, and Smart mobility domain. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing algorithms for next‑generation tire/vehicle sensors. Requirements- Currently pursuing a graduate degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in the following areas Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any other relevant field.
- Minimum 3.0 overall GPA required.
- Incoming first year or higher.
- Prior engineering co‑op/internship experience strongly preferred in automotive.
- Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills.
- Highly motivated and eager to learn.
- Experience with Dspace.
- Experience working with Arduino.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with C/C++.
