Electrical Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team in Akron.

As an Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining electrical systems and components for various projects. Your role will involve collaborating with other engineers and technicians to ensure the successful implementation of projects within budget and deadline constraints.

• Designing and developing electrical systems for projects including power distribution, lighting control systems, and communication networks.
• Conducting feasibility studies and cost analysis for new projects.
• Creating detailed technical drawings using software such as AutoCAD or Solid Works.
• Selecting appropriate materials and components for electrical systems based on project requirements.
• Collaborating with other engineers and technicians to ensure project goals are met.
• Testing and troubleshooting electrical systems to identify any issues or defects.
• Providing technical support during the installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Staying up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in technology related to electrical engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, theories, concepts and practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Solid Works software for creating technical drawings.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Salary for this position starts at $900 per month; however the final salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

This position is located in Akron but may require travel to other project sites as needed.
