Responsibilities
  • Provide daily site inspection reports to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications and codes.
  • Coordinate in the field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers and regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor and document contractor resource utilization (labor, materials, and equipment) for field changes, and time and material work and assist with negotiation of basic field construction changes.
  • Regularly attend and participate in construction meetings, safety meetings/updates and project site coordination meetings.
  • Verify equipment and materials installation.
  • Measure and record pay quantities.
  • Review the contractor's schedule.
  • Coordinate 3rd‑party special material testing inspections.
  • Review and provide input on potential change order issues.
  • Maintain project records including safety documentation.
  • Manage project photographic records.
  • Conduct verification of field surveys.
  • Maintain a daily report of all work site activities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Compensation

$30 – $36 an hour. Compensation varies depending on office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, a reasonable range of compensation is provided for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, the candidate must have at least 5 years of construction‑related experience.
  • Compliance with company vehicle policy is required or be willing to travel to various project areas as needed.
  • Possess solid negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to problems, with a high level of math aptitude.
  • Ability to multi‑task several priorities and possess solid time‑management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
