An established engineering consultancy with more than 60 years of success is seeking a Structural Department Manager to lead and grow its structural engineering practice. This role combines technical leadership, project oversight, client engagement, and team management.
Responsibilities include:- Leading and mentoring a team of structural engineers and designers
- Managing project execution, budgets, and resource allocation
- Reviewing structural calculations, drawings, and engineering deliverables
- Supporting business development and client relationship management
- Collaborating with mechanical, process, electrical, and construction teams
- Developing departmental standards and best practices
- Driving technical excellence and staff development
- Supporting strategic growth initiatives across the structural practice
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- 8+ years of structural engineering experience
- Previous leadership or project management experience
- Industrial, manufacturing, or heavy commercial project experience preferred
- Strong communication and client-fac
