Assistant Professor Of Practice In Civil Engineering
This position is a full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Practice in Civil Engineering with an anticipated start date of August 2026. Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a PhD degree in civil engineering or a closely related discipline from a nationally recognized institution prior to the effective date of appointment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching multiple undergraduate and graduate courses in civil engineering, including associated laboratory sections as assigned. Evidence of effective teaching and/or significant professional practice experience in civil engineering is preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe, is highly desirable. The appointee will also be expected to participate in curriculum development, student mentoring, and service activities in support of departmental, college, and university initiatives.
