Lot Attendant Job Details
- Compensation: Hourly base pay range $15-$17 per hour.
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, no weekends required. Flexible scheduling available. Full or part time. Shift 6AM-8PM.
- Benefits: Eligible for accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and 401(k) retirement plan. Eligibility depends on job classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Benefits may change. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible.
The Lot Attendant is responsible for accurately collecting and reconciling revenue and parking reports while providing exceptional hospitality services in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner to all guests during their entire stay. The Lot Attendant also handles parking vehicles, retrieving them safely, and upholding site management parking policy.
Essential Functions- Maintain friendly demeanor with guests, staff, and co-workers; greet guests immediately using proper etiquette. – 15%
- Maintain accuracy and composure under pressure; assist guests with directions and inquiries; use proper phone etiquette; stand while serving guests. – 15%
- Provide information about area and attractions; protect confidentiality; maintain security of financial information. – 10%
- Stack vehicles when necessary, secure keys, retrieve vehicles safely, operate equipment, collect data in accordance with parking operations. – 20%
- Collect and reconcile revenue accurately, issue receipts, categorize tickets, complete shift reports, follow bank SOP, operate register/gate/POS/credit card equipment. – 20%
- Obtain information about daily events/rates, secure guest keys, maintain claim checks, produce inventory for billing. – 20%
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Licensure/Certification/Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age; pass background check and drug screen.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Work Experience: One to three months related experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Knowledge: Customer service.
- Skills:
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Register/computer experience preferred.
- Ability to drive manual transmission and parallel park.
- Read/write standard English.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Present information to guests/clients/others.
- Basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with money, weight, volume, and distance.
- Understand 24‑hour and military time.
- Understand rate calculation.
- Job is routine, follows established practices and procedures; decisions within operational instructions.
- Control over available resources only.
- Regular duties include talking/ear, sit/stand, run, walk, handle objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; required vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.
- Lifting: up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, 20 lbs constantly.
- Work outdoors extended periods; subject to heat/cold; weather protection may be limited.
- Travel up to 5% required.
