WQMX Evening On-Air Personality

Job Description:

The Evening On-Air Personality is responsible for hosting and preparing a live, engaging, music-intensive on-air shift each weeknight from 7p-midnight. This person is expected to provide an energetic, organized and overly motivated show. This show and personality will flow over into social media, personal appearances and other station functions.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Show prep at least 30 minutes before each shift
  • Conduct live show from 7pm-midnight each weeknight
  • Post on the station's Facebook page and/or your personal page each day to promote the show
  • Provide engaging content for the show
  • Remain organized and focused during the show
  • Provide energetic content that is local, relatable and branded toward our community
  • Brand yourself as part of the station and the community
  • Strong personal social media a must on Facebook and Instagram, as a part of the country music genre
  • Collaborate with other personalities to drive our social media and digital presence
  • Interact with calls and text with listeners, as nights are highly interactive
  • Create creative ideas for your show, add new features, as all new ideas are welcome and open for discussing with the Program Director
  • Attend appropriate station events, per the PD and interact with listeners
  • Fill in for other full time personalities
  • Imaging duties as needed

Are you ready to work for a 24/7/365 live, local and community focused station?

Our listeners are part of the show just as much as YOU and the music. We are looking for someone who is energetic, organized, motivated, has a love for radio and wants to share their stories with the listeners and the community, while delivering local content. Social media is a must. You will also collaborate with other staff members to drive growth for our on-air, digital and social media platforms.

Remotes, appearances, imaging and production are all included. Radio experience is helpful, but not needed to apply.
