Tax Accountant; HYBRID

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all sales tax reporting and compliance requirements.
• Process and submit all related tax payments in a timely manner.
• Review payment requests prepared by others for accuracy and completeness.
• Organize, maintain, and safeguard records to support future audits and regulatory inquiries.
• Document procedures and contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
• Provide audit support, including reconciliations and gathering requested documentation.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by management.

• Education Required:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or related experience
• Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access)
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to pivot between tasks seamlessly
• Time management to ensure proper filing with strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of research tools for state requirements
• Ability to learn and utilize new computer programs associated with the job including: SAP, Vertex, VITR
