Job DescriptionCONTROLLER / CFO (CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER) (Permanent)
Our client, an established manufacturing company in the N. Towns of Buffalo, NY, is looking to hire a Controller / CFO (the CEO is open to titles). This position reports to the CEO who is a fantastic leader! This is the sole Accounting/Finance employee that will work closely with an outsourced public accounting firm and have some internal support from employees who have cross-trained.
- Daily oversight and management of all financial reporting processes and asset protection
- Collaborate with the CEO to improve financial policies and procedures to continue driving the company’s growth
- Manage daily processes of Accounts Payables/Receivables and Journal Entries to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure accurate Profit and Loss (P&L) statements
- Produce financial forecasts and budgets
- Prepare financials and present to executive team
- Work closely with outsourced accounting firm; prepare information for taxes, audits, valuation reporting, etc.
- Complete month-end, quarterly-end, and year-end
- Oversee all bank transactions and reconciliation of accounts
- Analyze and identify discrepancies, issues, etc.; reconcile, rectify, and come up with solutions
- Advise leadership team of potential risks in the financial reporting process
- Work closely with multiple departments and build relationships
- Instrumental in a new ERP system implementation: set up accounting/finance processes, controls, reports, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
- Position is full-time, direct hire; 100% in-office
- $140,000-$175,000 annually depending on experience + profit sharing and bonus

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance;
Master’s Degree a plus - 7+ years’ relevant accounting experience
